Visit to Sri Sarvaraya Harikatha Pathasala Promoting Cultural and Spiritual Heritage

The Founder of Sree Surya Narayana Swamy Charitable Trust, Sri Medikonda Srinivasarao Chowdary, along with Dr. Ghazal Srinivas and Sri Addala Vasu, visited the Sri Sarvaraya Harikatha Pathasala located in Kapileswarapuram, East Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh.
The Sri Sarvaraya Harikatha Pathasala is a unique and prestigious institution and is known as India’s only school dedicated exclusively to teaching Harikatha, a traditional storytelling art form that combines devotion, music, philosophy, and culture. The institution was established in 1973 by the Kapileswarapuram Zamindar family with the noble objective of preserving and promoting the ancient spiritual art of Harikatha for future generations.
During the visit, Sri Medikonda Srinivasarao Chowdary and the distinguished guests interacted with the teachers and students of the Pathasala
and learned about the training programs conducted to preserve this sacred art form. The visitors appreciated the dedication of the institution in maintaining and promoting India’s rich cultural and spiritual heritage.
Dr. Ghazal Srinivas, a renowned cultural personality, shared his thoughts on the importance of preserving traditional art forms like Harikatha and encouraged the students to continue their learning with devotion and commitment.
The visitors also observed the teaching sessions and devotional performances by the students, which reflected the discipline and spiritual values taught at the Pathasala.
